KeyHealth has unveiled its 2027 benefits and contributions under the theme “Advancing Value – Designing Benefits That Work Harder.”
The headline updates? An overall weighted contribution increase of 8.5% and the launch of Core – a new entry-level option designed to make private healthcare more accessible to individuals and families. Core brings together network-based private hospital cover, chronic care, routine GP consultations, unlimited Digi Doc consultations through the Member App, preventative care and emergency medical support, subject to the option’s rules and benefit limits.
More 2027 enhancements:
- Value-based primary care, with stronger GP-led navigation, better coordination and a sharper focus on measurable health outcomes.
- Enhanced mental health support before, during and after treatment.
- Pre-operative funding baskets for authorised procedures linked to the ten leading diagnosis-related groups.
- Expanded maternity screening, including NT scans and NIPS, to support earlier assessment of certain chromosomal conditions.
KeyHealth CEO Patrick Masobe says the 2027 enhancements are focused on strengthening affordability, expanding access and improving member protection.
