Alignd Palliative Care Programme

Palliative Care
If you or your loved one has cancer that is advanced or has spread to other parts of the body, the Alignd Palliative Care Programme may be right for you. Palliative care is not end-of-life care. What the Alignd Programme offers is extra care and comfort alongside any cancer treatment you may be receiving, helping to ease pain and other symptoms, reduce hospital visits, and bring more comfort and support to you and your family, all while you continue with your usual cancer treatment and care that is covered by your scheme benefits.

This programme is included at no extra cost for KeyHealth members, as we are one of Alignd’s partner medical schemes.

By joining the Alignd Palliative Care Programme, your oncology benefit, day-to-day benefits, and medical savings will not be affected. All palliative support-related costs are covered from your out-of-hospital benefit.

What is Palliative Care?

Palliative care is specialised medical care for people with serious illnesses that focuses on improving their quality of life. It can be provided at any stage of an illness and works alongside other active treatments. A specialised team, which usually includes a palliatively trained doctor, nurse, and social worker, works in collaboration with other healthcare practitioners to provide this extra layer of support.
