KeyHealth Assists Communities

KeyHealth has been involved in various Corporate Social Responsibility (CSI) initiatives to support needy communities.

Healthcare Support – Needy Family

KeyHealth provided healthcare support to a needy family in Gauteng. The Scheme sent nurse practitioners to the family to conduct a health risk assessment and ensure that the children’s immunisations were up to date in line with the Department of Health’s guidelines. They also provided reproductive health education.

Additionally, the Scheme facilitated vouchers worth R4000 from one of its healthcare partners, Dischem, for the family to help cover the costs of ongoing immunisations and essential baby items.

Recognising the psychological challenges the family faces, the Scheme arranged for mental health support, including counselling for the mother.

Through this initiative, KeyHealth has not only facilitated access to critical healthcare services for the family but also offered them hope and support for their long-term well-being.

Distribution of Reusable Sanitary Towels

Many girls face the harsh reality of missing school due to a lack of access to essential menstrual hygiene products, which can have a lasting effect on their education and self-esteem. KeyHealth recently distributed reusable sanitary towels to schoolgirls in the Free State, Gauteng, and KwaZulu-Natal.

This initiative was to ensure that no girl is held back by something as natural as her period. By providing sanitary towels, the Scheme give the girls the confidence and support they need to continue their education and thrive.

The initiative is aligned with KeyHealth’s broader focus on preventative care and improving health access. It also provides the Scheme with an opportunity to continue making a positive difference in the lives of individuals within the communities we serve.
