Scheme Consultant: KwaZulu-Natal

Job Description

The primary purpose of the role

Deliver professional and excellent quality service and represent the Scheme within local government in support of the KeyHealth 2030 Growth and Retention strategy by driving own targets for growth and the retention of existing members.

Recruit new clients and retain current members to meet growth and retention targets.

  • Conduct presentations to prospective members, including local government members and other employer groups
  • Provide guidance to members on the use of their medical aid and benefits provided on each option
  • Ensure that all correspondence and customer communication are handled in line with the Scheme rules, protocols and policies and comply with the Medical Schemes Act 131 of 1998
  • Create awareness and interest in the KeyHealth brand in order to increase sales for the Scheme
  • Build relationships with stakeholders, e.g. HR departments, payroll, unions,
  • Actively source out new business
  • Ensure successful exploitation of all leads received
  • Ensure that complete applications are submitted to the Scheme to ensure an efficient take-on process
  • Drive own targets for growth and retention
  • Ensure log in on actions and do workflows on the operational system to support record keeping
  • Ensure that all bookings and appointments are done prior to travelling
  • Report monthly on sales and assistance provided
  • Deliver on the agreed service level and targets
  • Provide recommendations to management regarding product and process development / improvement, based on customer feedback and
  • Behave in alignment with the KeyHealth value
  • Ensure smooth transition from prospective membership to active membership
  • Reach own set targets and thereby contribute to regional targets
  • Ensure that existing clients are retained
  • Report vital information regarding marketing trends, client needs and competitor actvitities to the Team Leader / Regional Manager

Assist and guide basic office administration

  • Ensure that filing is correctly done and up to date
  • Maintain neatness of office space
  • Handle enquiries and complaints professionally through correct and appropriate channels and ensure successful completion. Pro-actively report challenges to the Team Leader / Regional Manager
  • Provide effective service to clients and members
  • Follow-up and follow-through on outstanding aspects / queries
  • Provide information to clients and members on company products, benefits and options available

Perform ad hoc tasks as assigned by the Team Leader / Regional Manager

  • Comply with any reasonable requests for assistance from the Team Leader / Regional Manager
  • Be available to assist after hours on request

Minimum qualification requirements

  • Matric/Recognition of prior learning
  • RE5 an added advantage

Experience

  • 2-3 years in sales operational area
  • 2-3 years in the healthcare / medical aid industry
  • 2-3 years maintaining and growing a profitable portfolio in the healthcare / medical aid industry
