KeyHealth Medical Scheme is calling for nominations to fill eleven vacancies for elected trustees on the Board of Trustees whose term of office expires at the KeyHealth Annual General Meeting in 2018. All the current Trustees are eligible for re-election.
In terms of the Rules of the Scheme and subject to the provision of the Medical Schemes Act No 131 of 1998 (the Act), as amended, the affairs of KeyHealth are managed by a Board that consist of eleven Trustees, elected by the members for a period of four years.
All members elected to serve on the Board of Trustees of a medical scheme must be fit and proper persons capable of holding and discharging an office of trust as contemplated in the Act. Therefore, all members nominated to serve as a KeyHealth Trustee will be subject to a background check.
The election process must be finalised at least 7 days prior to the Scheme’s Annual General Meeting scheduled for 17 August 2018. The election process will be managed and supervised by an independent Electoral Officer and will be verified by an independent auditor in accordance with the Rules of the Scheme and the Act.

Nominations can be submitted from 20 April 2018 by fax, email, post or hand delivery and must reach the offices of the Scheme by no later than 12:00 on Friday, 25 May 2018.
