Easy-ER is a first-of-its-kind KeyHealth initiative that offers all KeyHealth beneficiaries, regardless of their age, emergency medical cover subject to scheme rates.
What is Easy-ER?
Through Easy ER, beneficiaries have access to emergency hospital treatment for various situations including:
Easy-ER card for children
We understand that parents are not with their children 24 hours a day. That’s why we have created a carriable Easy-ER card for children.
This is to ensure that should children be involved in emergency accidents; they can be taken to hospital emergency rooms without delay for speedy treatment.
The Easy – ER card contains the child’s details and when presented will confirm his or her Easy – ER benefits.
If the child doesn’t have the card at the time of the emergency, then a call can be made to confirm the child member’s details to:
- 24-hour free call centre – 080 111 0215.
- If the beneficiary gets admitted to hospital after the ER treatment, then normal hospital benefits will apply.
- If the beneficiary needs emergency transport, the Scheme’s designated emergency transport service provider, Netcare 911 must be called on – 082 911.
